Weekly Update for April 29

Hi everybody!

This week at M4M we are hosting our 2nd annual Ladies Tea. If you can make it a few minutes early to help set up the food and greet our special guests, that would be wonderful! I hope everyone got a chance to sign up for snacks. I believe Erika is in the process of sending out reminders.

Next week we will be doing a special service project. We will be helping Mid-Valley Fellowship setup for their pastor's lunch. We will need lots of hands to help decorate, organize food and basically make the place look great! This is happening at the Flinn block with is over by Sunnypatch and Frogs and Pollywogs. You can either meet us there at the normal time or carpool (or walk) from WCC. M4M childcare will be available as normal, just leave a cell number where you can be reached. This will be a fun event for us and a huge blessing to this wonderful organization, so let's all make a point of being there!

See you Wednesday!
Karen

Signs of a Frustrated Mom
1. Your children know how to read HTML code but can't operate a vacuum cleaner.
2. Your children tell you that you said "yes" and you don't even remember the question.
3. You go to the grocery store and find yourself having a good time.
4. Your husband asks how your day went and you rate it on a scale of 1-10 repeats of "stop that!" or "no!".
5. You can't remember the last time you didn't have to share your drink.
6. You mistakenly tell the kids it's "sanity" time when you meant to say "bed" time.
7. The laundry seems to have taken on an evil nature and you begin to feel that it's out to get you.
8. You dread hearing the phone ring because it's a sure sign there's about to be trouble amongst the children.
9. It's finally your turn on the computer and "Touched by an Angel" is just coming on.
10. You go to sleep with "I'm bored" or "I'm hungry" still ringing in your ears.

Weekly Update for April 15

Happy Tuesday everybody!

Crack open those books, ladies, because tomorrow we are discussing chapter 10: Future Kingdoms in Distant Lands. Try to find some spare minutes in your day to read the chapter so we can have a good discussion tomorrow. Of course, as always, don't skip the meeting if you haven't found time to read. We want you there, regardless! Otherwise, who would eat all the great snacks that Bethany's group is bringing? (Hint, hint).

Next week (April 22) we will be having a very special activity. I don't know what it is... but I'm sure it will be great! I'll let you know more when someone clues me in. That's the hazard of being gone for a week, I guess. Snacks will be provided by Mindi's group.

Our second annual Ladies Tea Party is coming up quickly (April 29), so start thinking what kind of special treats you might like to bring and see Erika David this Wednesday.

See you tomorrow!
Karen

Smile Time!

A young man came home with a terribly unsatisfactory report card in January.

"Oh dear," said his mother, "What is the trouble?"

"There isn't any trouble," said the boy. "You know, yourself, things always get marked down after the holidays."

Karen always does such a great job at finding something funny to end with, so I hope this is up to par!

"White Hair"
One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head. She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?" Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white." The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"
