Weekly Update for Mar. 4, 2009

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Tomorrow at M4M we will have a special guest joining us. Peggy Hoeker came and spoke with us last year in her official capacity as an agent of the OSU extension office. This year she's going to come "as herself." That frees her to share wisdom from her own life and about her faith. Those who heard her last year agree she is a special lady and we are looking forward to hearing from her again! Mindi's group will be providing snacks.

Next week, (March 11) we will be discussing chapter 8: Threats from Other Kingdoms. Snacks will be provided by Amber's group.

Have a great week and don't forget to check out our blog for photos from the bowling trip! http://www.mornings4moms.blogspot.com.

Understanding Marriage

The child was a typical four-year-old girl -- cute, inquisitive, bright as a new penny. When she expressed difficulty in grasping the concept of marriage, her father decided to pull out his wedding photo album, thinking visual images would help. One page after another, he pointed out the bride arriving at the church, the entrance, the wedding ceremony, the recessional, the reception, etc. "Now do you understand?" he asked. "I think so," she said, "is that when mommy came to work for us?"
